*ranty stuff*

With the realization that this is a semi-public forum and gets read by more than just myself, I'd like the chance to say a few things. This will mystify some and make sense to others, but here goes....

A friend has recently decided to take the 'low' road and sought to gain support. I haven't seen fit to comment as I think the person is entitled to their opinions. *nods* What I can't agree with is this 'me or him' approach. I still care about this person though I cannot support some of the actions he's taken as they've emotionally hurt others.

Since he seems unlikely to step away from these habits I find that I must be the one that creates distance between myself, along with the people he's affected and him. I'd hoped that with time he'd see the path that he was taking can only lead to isolation. Alas, I don't think this can happen.

I believe that what is said about a person should also be said to the person. This goes for the good and the bad. I don't much care for drama in my life and I find I have a low tolerance of it when it affects people I know and care about. *shrugs*

I'd hope that all my friends and aquaintances realize that my support for them and their dreams & ambitions is un-conditional. If there is something that I don't like or care for, then I'm sure that I've already mentioned it to the appropriate person.

*nods sharply*

*news-y stuff*

As of last night I have a working pool heater! wOOt! Swimming in November!?! How fancy is that? I'm hoping that we'll hit 75 deg before the first snowfall. ~giggles~

In other news, our friend Frederick will be returning to school in Pittsburgh come the spring. I know we'll all miss him and I'm sure I'll put a gods awful amount of mileage on my car driving out to visit. Wee've requested crash space under his bed to keep prices down. ^_^

Our recent visitor; Shaun, will be returning to Potsdam today. I've enjoyed his company this visit and he says he'll visit us for Thanksgiving. That'll be a pleasure, I'm sure.

Chuck is settling in at the house without to many issues. He's been helping out around the place a bit which is quite nice.

I'm looking forward to meeting another local fur this week and will keep this posted as to how it goes. On-line I met a fur named Hirobowolf, from Georgia and had a pleasant chat with him last night. Looking forward to more of those.

I am putting together a list of people I'd like to visit next year and it's slowly growing. So far there is Mitch from P.E.I, Frederick (any time we can) RJTOtter, and possibly Soro. If you'd like a visit, give me a shout and I'll see what we can manage. ^_^

Aaron is still settling into his new room and it's STILL as messy as ever! *shakes head* MUST KEEP HOUSE CLEAN! ^_^ Poor, organizationally challenged Aaron.

I had jury duty yesterday and was actuaklly chosen to sit for a trial. The case began and before we got too far the lawyers reached a compromise and we were dismissed with thanks. So I am safe for six years.

*hugs everyone*

I'm sitting for a couple while I take meds for foot pain. Always a funtastic pass time.

I hate the fall for one simple reason... raking leaves.I think someone should develop leaves that sidintegrate when daylight drops below 11 hours a day. That way we'd never rake again. I love the trees, I love the cool days.... just.... NO MORE RAKING!

Lawnmowing bites too!

I'm thinking that a Solstice bon fire would be a good way to get rid of the huge debris pile in the back yard. Roast a few potatoes and call it a BBQ. Yup, a good plan.
