*whimpers*
Feb. 9th, 2004 02:46 pmOh my God! I can't believe how much pain I've been in the past two days. My feet, which usually cause an ignorable level of discomfort have been sheer hell. I thought they were feeling a bit better this morning when I got up but by the time I got to work that changed. The next couple hours were agony and by noon I couldn't take anymore.
I told my manager when he came in and left for home immediately. The best way to describe the feeling is akin to what walking on glass shards barefoot must be like. Anyhow, when I got home I broke down and asked mom for one of her hydrocodone tablets for the pain. I'm laying here now waiting for the pain to fade. (I hope)
I know that I'll have to go out for a few groceries later regardless of how I feel. That's one of the sucky things about having no one else to rely upon for help. Even when you'd rather stay in bed, you sometimes have to shift yourself.
Anyhow, that's the story of my feet today.
Yesterday I had a great conversation with both Davey and Josh. Josh is now an Uncle and has a niece, thanks to his sister Jennifer and Mr. SpermDonor (tm). She's staying with his mom for now. Probably a good thing. The thing about Joshs house is that it is run by his father, who spends all his time either working or paying for internet EuroHo's (tm). This is apparently an expensive passtime as he has no money for food or such. I swear, a college student would starve on what he buys to eat.
Well, we chatted quite a bit about what we all want from the future and how we can go about getting it for ourselves. And while we didn't reach any solid conclusions, we did make some good progress and I think we all have a few things to think about.
I want to mention another friend of mine. A new one at that, that Davey introduced me to named Miles. She's a sweet young woman from the south who is certainly a Fox! ^_^ She's made a little sculpture of my Racoony self and a drawing too! I'm sooooo excited! I can hardly wait to see what she's done. She's promised a photo soon and I'm looking forward to seeing it all.
*sighs* finally..... my feet aren't hurting as much. first time in two days. *sobs in relief*
Where was I? yeah....ok. Playing catch up I guess. Kim, who I seldom seem to mention here had a break up with her boyfriend on Saturday. She's still a bit off from that. She figures that he freaked out from the pressure that their friends have been placing on him to 'pop the question'.
Sometimes friends can cause too much stress. I hope that things work out. They had both seemed quite happy to be with each other. And Kim isn't always that easy to get along with either.
On a different note, Aaron actually CLEANED HIS BEDROOM last night. Truly amazing since I hadn't been hounding him lately. Now of course, I've seen him do it and will expect him to continue doing it. ^_^
Other than that, the nurse just finished a visit with mom and said that the wound in her foot is healing fairly well and that she'll bring some more care supplies on her visit Wednesday.
