I went down to check on the pool heater and it was off showing an ignition failure. So I checked everything and cleaned out the filter. When it went to restart I guess some gas had built up ... anyway, there was a bang and flame shot out about two feet!!
*heart pounds*
That scared the ever-lovin' crap out of me!!
*still breathing hard*
I think I'll let it sit for a day as the pool refils just a bit. *nods* It did something similiar when the gas tech was there but it seemed to run fine. He'd said that the flame shot out six feet for him....twice!
I think I may want to have it checked before the next pool season. *nods* Yeah... definitely checked *nods*
In other news, I met a really interesting guy through Pounced and he's going to be visiting for awhile. *grins* I'm rather surprised by the whole thing really. I was like, 'let's hang out....' He suggested coming to visit for a week...month...whatever felt right. ^_^
We spent a few hours chatting on the phone today and I'll be driving out to meet him tomorrow. I'm a little nervous / excited by the whole thing. He seems like a very nice guy. His name is Patrick and he's twenty. He says he's been doing this for the past two years: meeting and living with a wide spectrum of people then going home for a bit. He has certainly had a lot of 'adventures'.
Yesterday we had Kevin down from Albany for a nice little visit and a swim. It was really nice to get to know him better. He's a sweetie. After the swim we all went to a chinese buffet for a latish supper before he headed home.
I'd had to take some pain killers for my feet and it left me feeling very worn out. I went to bed early and slept... fitfully... until nine this morning.
Tonight Josh and I are heading down to visit Frederick in Bridgeport. He's been having a really rough week since his last visit here. I always enjoy the time I get to spend with him and I'd really like to see him and Josh have a good time together. I think they make a good pairing. They are both so caring and have an incredible amount to offer each other.
Well, enough matchmaking for now. I have to run out and cover a few errands before we go.
