*sighs deeply* So mom has had two heart attacks in the past 36 hours and the one tonight was a doozy. I got the call from the hospital at about 12.45 a.m. They'd moved her back to CCU and they had a machine breathing for her.
I grabbed Josh and got there as fast as I could. She was in pretty rough shape with an extremely low blood pressure and a heart that was working too hard. They'd drugged her to raise the bp and after several hours it seemed to finally grab hold and actually work.
Around 4.30 the nurse finally told us that mom was doing much better and to head on home. That if there were a change that she'd call me right away. I was also informed that she'd stopped breathing before I got there but that they'd gotten the machine running in time.
I'm home and I'm exhausted. I need to be back at the hospital in about 6 hours so I'm going to bed. The hospital is St. Francis. Apparently Vassar was full at the time.
