Well...more ranting perhaps?
Aug. 9th, 2004 03:03 amI'm sitting up waiting for Josh to get home... he went out with some friends and I imagine that by this time he is probably going to spend the night wherever he is. ^_^
He needs to have some fun, so this is a good thing.
Anyway... I spent the evening shopping, cleaning the kitchen and then cleaning my room. I've been putting off the last for a couple weeks since Davey left but I really needed to get it done. So things are looking a bit better and I can have guests without being ashamed.
The biggest thing was to route a wire under the baseboard rather than across the whole room. Looks much better now. Next it's pull out the computer desk and fix the wires behind there.
In between I was chatting with Wolfyre. He's another local that I've just met on-line. We're going to try and set up a 'meet' sometime in the next couple weeks. That'll be very cool. Like I wa saying, I need to get out and make more friends. I'm happy to say that I've met three good folks this past week and hope to meet the rest of them soon. Having met Athauglas already.
I've been reading stuff by Neil Gaiman this week. Certainly one of my favourites. When I learned that his book, Neverwhere, had been made into a TV series by the BBC I waited for an American release. I finally got it! Coooool.
At the end of the month is Noreascon 4. I think it's the 62nd Worldcon. Anyway... that'll be in Boston and Aaron is going with me. That's pretty cool. I haven't had anyone go with me since my first time in 1983. Long time ago. This years theme is anime, in all it's various flavours. Should be cool.
I really want to get back into working on art and photography. I miss the challenge of getting the image just the way I want it. And watercolour painting is just too cool. I think I'll be getting that paid account here and post some of my photos and paintings. Alwways like to hear what others think.
I just want to get back to doing the things that make me feel like life is worth it. I've sat on my ass too long. *nods*
Well, time to get to bed. Aaron just walked past on his way to bed too. G'night y'all.
