This and that
Aug. 1st, 2004 04:21 pmI finally replaced the kitchen ceiling light because it had failed just that one time too often. What a difference it made too! I went from a dim flourescent to a blazingly bright 200w incandescent fixture.
Aaron came home and made a face like a vampire exposed to sunlight. Then accused me of installing an 'insta-tan' booth. ^_^ I'll admit, my first reaction was .. Whoaaa! Then I went on to notice the dirt. *shrugs* So I spent last evening cleaning the kitchen.
This morning I replaced the light over the kitchen table for similiar reasons. I think I made good choices with Josh's help. The state of the wiring in the house is a bit worrying but nothing that seemed to be a fire hazard. More that wiring circuits seem to be very haphazard.
I got to spend the latter part of the evening cuddling with Josh and that was very enjoyable. Sometimes he is just soooo snuggly. ^_^ We ended up listening to some CD's before going to bed.
This morning I made chocolate chip pancakes for everyone. His I made in the shape of bunnies. It was very cute.
I miss being able to tak to Davey on a regular basis. He and I have begun to work things out and I want us to keep trying. I miss him though.
The good thing lately is that there always seems to be some positive progress to report. That helps keep my spirits up. I wish I could do more to help mom though. I've noticed that her legs seem to be swollen as the skin is very taught. I imagine that I'll have to consult a doctor about that but I suggested she lay down with her legs elevated above her heart for a couple hours today. Aaron said he'd help do that.
I don't give everyone at the house as much credit as they deserve sometimes. But I'd never be able to do it all without the help they give me.
Kim told me last night that one of the panels in the greenhouse shatterred and showered glass all over the floor. *sighs* Another expense. I'd really like to get some use from the greenhouse but it needs to have a water spigot out there. Guess I'll try my hand at plumbing next.
I really want to make progress on Josh's room too. I finally finished the cable work and I should really look at starting the framing and electrical work in there.
Well... enough for now. Back to work.
