A long ass week
Jul. 10th, 2004 12:51 amYeah... so I went down and brought Davey here. What a trip though! Between traffic and a huge storm I ended up about 4 hours longer than I thought. He and I checked into a hotel around 3 a.m. on the 6th rather than push through. We got home about 2 p.m. that afternoon and made it just in time to get mom's new bed.
She seems fairly well satisfied by it but she's not used to sleeping in a bed. She's managed about half a night so far. She complains somewhat of hip pain but seems determined to work her way through it.
The annoying recent development is with the number of people who would like to 'help' us out of our house. They must track the court filings and assume that we want to sell rather than that we are working on mom's bankruptcy. It's just pathetic that there are so many people who act no better than human vultures.
Work has been alright, I'm on to my new day off schedule; Wednesdays and Thursdays now. Most other days are long but plenty busy to keep me amused.
Anyhow... it's time to be in bed.
