Just a quickie
Jul. 4th, 2004 05:32 pm*blah* I've been sick all week and finally went to the doctors on Friday. Respiratory infection that I am now taking meds for. The cough is starting to drive me a bit crazy.
Davey is down in Florida and somewhat enjoying a vacation but his dad is still being a prick. I honestly don't know how he puts up with it. The patience of a saint! ^_^ Must be how he tolerates me. *nods*
I spent yesterday evening cleaning the house and it's looking pretty good to me. I'm going to continue on and get the cobwebs cleaned up today. I'll probably do some dusting and glass cleaning as well. Maybe run the vacuum downstairs if I get a moment.
I like the fact that the house is looking good enough to actually think about having people over without cringing. Even Aaron has been helpful lately. Much to my surprise.
Looks like mom will get her new bed on tuesday, barring any unforseen problems. I'll have to shop for blankets and bed linens, but I hope it doesn't prove to be too expensive.
The old living room carpet survived the cleaners so that will be going into her room as well. Once that's sorted out I guess I'll tackle the issue of her lift chair. I think if I 'sister' some metal bar to the broken supports I may be able to fix it well enough to use fully. Time will tell though.
Tomorrow looks to be a real ball breaker. I have a half day of work followed by a 'special project' that will see me home in the wee hours of the morning.
