just some stuff

I got the news last night that a friends father had died. I'd only met the man a few times but he was unfailingly pleasant and fun to talk to. He'll be missed.

Works been going alright. I've been getting a lot of overtime this season. I need the money though. Well, we all have bills to pay, don't we? Let's see.... I'm still waiting to hear if they'll consider me for store management. If not I'll apply to work at Target when they get ready to open in the spring.

I'm planning to do my Christmas shopping on my day off this week. Which will be Monday. I've asked Marc Regen to go with me. We're planning to make a day of it at Palisades Mall. I think I can tolerate one day of that this year. LOL Figure that we'll shop, have dinner and maybe catch a movie. Wish he didn't live so damn far away.

He lives about 75 minutes from here on the Pennsylvania border. Oh well, not too far for the occassional hanging out.

In other news... looks like our first snowfall will be this weekend. We'll see. ^_^

I was going to rant about greed among humans and how it ruins lives and societies...but don't feel like it right now.

Things to think on.....

I was chatting with Asty last night and I realized just how much fun it is. Our topics cover so many diverse topics. We'd both seen Pirates of the Carribean in the last two days and that has to be the very coolest movie that I've seen in a long time. Captain Jack Sparrow is such an awesome and memorable character. If I were a roleplayer I'd say that that is the type of character that I'd strive to create.

He has the best lines too. ^_^ Who thought that a movie inspired by a theme park ride would be sooooo good? I also saw an advertisement for Tim Burtons new movie....Big Fish. It looks decidedly odd. But then again it's by Burton, so it's to be expected.

Another movie that I'm looking forward to is The Return of the King. Maybe they'll do a triple showing sometime. That'd be cool. That seems to happen more frequently in other countries than here, but I'll still hope.
