Well it's been a few weeks and I'm still surviving. Though I did have a scare about it becoming infected again. Three days after the last post I was back in the hospital for esophageal blockage. I've had the trouble before but had temporarily run out of the meds to control it.
The foot is doing ok I think (hope). I'll get to see a doctor once insurance kicks in on the New Year. There is an overall area of 5 sq. inches or so that is a thick pad of dead skin with the 'hole' caused by the ulcer off to one side.
This all has to dry and flake away to completely heal the foot. Until then the foot leaks plasma and blood all day long as I walk through my work days.
