Health troubles....

Things have been sucking pretty hard this month. The start of it was running out of my blood pressure and diabetes medicines on the first. I haven't been covered by insurance since summer and with one thing and another I couldn't really afford $300 for meds.
Things seemed to be reasonably well until this past Saturday. I was most of the way through my shift at Home Depot when I suddenly broke out in a cold sweat and my heart rate leapt into triple time. Feeling nauseous I decided I'd had enough of work and went home.
Once home I went straight to bed after taking a couple aspirin. I slept through the night and awoke fairly early Sunday. I'd slept about thirteen hours. I still became winded easily but decided to make the double round trip drives to Newburgh to empty the storage room.
I went to bed early feeling better, but not 100%. I awoke Monday and decided that going to a doctor would be a good idea. I felt I had enough money finally to buy at least a months meds. I got to the doctors and they insisted that they check me over before issuing the prescriptions.
My blood pressure was a little high but not alarmingly; 130 / 90. My long term blood sugar was an acceptable 6.4 and after an EKG they said my heart was in good condition too. I paid for the services and took my prescriptions to be filled after calling out to work.
About an hour after I took my meds I felt the first effects of going back on them. I became very light headed and my heart rate kicked up a notch. I'm assuming that this is the effect of the lowering of my blood pressure. I took things very easily yesterday and decided to go into work today.
I would still get dizzy when I stood up but the worst of the effects seem to be passing. The heart rate seems to be settling down as well. I don't think I'll allow that to happen again. By some miracle my Circuit City insurance is still covering things. My Home Depot coverage will begin January first and I can't wait.
More later folks.
