I bought tickets tonight for a concert in Hartford called 'Dear Friends'. It's a classically arranged performance of music from video games like Final Fantasy. I like some of the music that I've heard from those games so I am looking forward to it. I'll be going with Sam and his friend Carly. It looks like we'll be sharing a hotel room near there.

I'm planning to work in the morning before we go and then in the afternoon when we get back. I will probably end up very tired. But it'll be fun. I also gave in my Home Depot schedule at Circuit City today. So I hope he's able to work me approximately thirty hours a week. The extra cash would be fantastic.

I was working tonight and we got in a few new cameras. I especially liked the new Canon 20D dSLR. Though at 1599.99, it's definitely outside my price range. The oddest camera is a new SONY. The DVD7. It's held like a camera but it's a camcorder. *shrugs* Nothing special though and it looks odd.

I've been talking to Silver a bit the past few nights. I still feel sorry that his plans got swept up in the whole Divefox fiasco. I just couldn't take that level of upheaval any longer.  It was tearing us all apart. Ah well, it's time to go to bed. I've had a long day and I'm tired.

*hugs everyone*

Hi Everybody! *waves*

Sometimes, just sometimes.... I can't leave well enough alone. Today was one such time! ^_^ I was having a nice lunch at Panera Bread and was filling my soda cup. A young girl came up and grabbed a courtesy water cup and went to fill it with soda. I mentioned to her that she shouldn't take anything but water in that as it would be stealing. She thought about it a moment then stopped and went back to her table.

Enter Grandpa! He came up to fill a courtesy cup as well. I repeated my comment for his benefit. Well, he went ahead and filled it and went back to his table. The end, right? Nope! He followed me back to the store to tell me that he hadn't stolen anything! How dare I accuse him! How I should mind my own business!

Now, keep in mind this was a full thirty minutes later. If he were so innocent, why didn't he protest at the time? I think it weighed on his conscience and he couldn't bear to have someone think that of him. *shrugs*

Personally, I think too many people take short cuts for convenience. He said I should have 'minded my own business'. I think too many of us turn a 'blind eye' when we see things we know aren't right or are even just suspicious. We cut corners, we bend rules. I'm not saying I haven't done it too. But, ya know what? I at least try.

*shakes head* What would we be like if we did the right thing all the time, not just the convenient thing? This man claimed when he came into my store that he'd accidently filled the cup he'd paid for with water which was why he had the girl get the other cup full of soda. Does anyone else smell the BS?

Well, I'll leave this for a final thought....

What would we gain if people did what's right rather than convenient?

Everyone paid fair taxes?

No one stole?

No one intentionally injured someone else?

No one sought to abuse?

No one said, 'it's ok, no one will know'?

*sighs deeply* Imagine that world and weep for the one you find yourself in.
