Apr. 12th, 2005 01:23 am Another late night sitting here in front of the
computer. *shrugs* I have been almost afraid to head to bed as my
dreams have been anything but comforting for the last week or so. The
most obvious component of this is that I haven't been able to sleep
through the night. Mostly owing to song lyrics cropping up every time I
come out of REM sleep.
Work today was fun for a change. I spent my day setting plan-o-grams in the camera dept. I can't help but thinking that I'd enjoy doing that work a heck of a lot more than trying to make a sales quota. I set 28' today which was pretty good. The manager really likes the job I do for him. I'm looking forward to doing the camera POG tomorrow or Wednesday. Probably Wednesday as that's an open to close and I know I can find the time.
I've asked and reminded that I'd be interested in changing to POG for the store as that is a viable path to being an operations manager for Circuit City. That'd mean an immediate raise for me to about $12 - $13 an hour and if I made manager then about $50K a year. I could deal with that.
Things at home have been reasonable lately. Even the dishes have been getting cleaned regularly. ^_^ Tonight Pat put together a mac and burger dish which was pretty good. We all sat out in the living room and watched "Hitchhikers Guide to The Galaxy" The BBC version from '81 that I borrowed from Karl. It's a lot of fun to watch and I'll enjoy seeing the movie when it comes out on the 29th.
In other news I have to go to small claims court on Friday to answer Adams landscaping as they try to get paid for that dismal failure of a landscape job they did. Aside from providing work substantially different than contracted for, they sought a mechanics lien that was granted so the estate should pay for it. In related news, the suit that the nursing home continues to try to bring against me has been denied by the court for the fourth time. *shakes head ruefully* What asses. If they'd simply apply to the probate they'd get their damned money. *shrugs*
