Another day closer....
Dec. 9th, 2004 01:05 am Well, another visit to the dentist tonight. Almost done with the root canal. Some of it's been really painful but I'm glad it's getting fixed. I was really worried when the top of that tooth sheared off. I told them tonight that I may be moving around the end of the month and I also asked if anyone there knew of available rentals. I might have gotten lucky, we'll see though.
Work today was very hectic. This owed mostly to the local mall being closed because a part of their roof had caved in. I was around when they built that mall. All I can say is that I'm surprised it hadn't happened earlier.
Thursday is a day off and another chance to look for a new home for us. I have a few things to take care of, like applying for that house in Wappinger. I also need to call back a real estate agent to see what he has to say. His message mentioned 'good news'. I could certainly use some.
One set of thoughts to cross my mind this past day is that this will open the door to my being with Davey for the long term. Before this I'd always considered that I'd stay in this house for my entire life. Davey, I know, wants to have open options for where he lives. Now I can say that I'll have nothing to lose by following him wherever life takes us. So, a silver lining perhaps.
Today was Shawns 25th birthday. When I got home tonight I gave him a card and presents. I gave him peppermint bark and a card. Josh and Patrick gave him a gift card for EB. He and Josh went up tonight to spend it. ^_^ After my dentist appointment I took them to dinner at Rolling Rock Cafe. It was a pretty good supper and we had fun calling each other oldsters.
So, I'm home now and settled in for the night. I had a little chat with RJTOtter, but he seems to have wandered away. I'm tired now and I'm heading to bed. Goodnight all.
