May. 9th, 2004 03:13 pmWHo would have thought that not paying bills could be a blessing? I think it's a sign of how screwed up our world is. Far be it from me though to not benefit if I can.
So yes, bankruptcy is the way. I plan to stay current on all other bills from here forward and persue moms bankruptcy. By the time all is said and done she should be free of debt and we'll have about 25,000.00 put by for a rainy day.
That's the weird thing. Until we get this all settled the mortgage company doesn't want our money. That's the whole bit about foreclosure. Either we buy our way out of it or we admit defeat and try to 'shaft' them.
On the home front I got the back porch cleared up last night...it took about 90 minutes and when I went to throw out a really disgusting garbage can I discovered what could possibly be the WORST SMELL ON ERATH!
It sent me retching from the scene and I could hardly stand to get near it after. I also finished the main part of clearing up in the dining room/living room. I still have to dusting and get rid of cobwebs, but it's looking really good out there now.
I want to refresh the hanging planter and redo the big fish tank in the dining room. I've let it look like the black lagoon long enough. Otherwise I'm quite pleased with it all.
I'm also looking forward to replacing the fence around the pool this year and getting the damn pool open again for swimming. I'd really Love to have a pool party this summer and invite all our friends.
