Wonders and whatnot
Jan. 9th, 2004 01:03 pmIt's just past noon and I've had a bit of an extra snooze. I Love these 2 pm shifts because I gety to catch up on my napping quotient.
Yesterday was quite the eventful day really. At work the district manager asked me to come in for an interview to see if they'll offer me a management position. Obviously, this is of great importance to me since I could REALLY use that added income. Admittedly, it'd be more work but I've done it before and I know I'll be able to do it again.
ANyhow, that was the first good part of yesterday, the second good part was coming home for mom's birthday. She turned 79 and seemed to have a good time. She got the 'good' stuff all day. Breakfast was chocolate chip pancakes and lunch was a plate of shrimp for dipping in sauce. We had a coconut cream pie for her dessert and of course, there were the presents. She got a giftcard for books, a new large digit digital clock and a new emergency pendant. All in all she seemed pretty happy.
After that...well... I got to chat to Alex and Davey. *Cheers, jumps around, screams in joy* LOL ^_^ Yeah, so that always makes my day. Funny, It's only been a couple weeks at most. Less with Davey. But oh what happiness it is.
First for my friend Alex... dude.... ^_^ You are just soooo cool. I know things are hard for you right now. I really hope that we can get past your reticence in meeting me in person, or at least chatting on the phone. I really want us to be RL friends. Please, I'll do whatever you need me to to help you get past the fear.
David, well, what can I say? You know what I feel. Now I'm putting it out here for the world. ^_^ I got to talk to David on the phone last night when his net connection crashed for the umpteenth time. I know why they call his communication company Cox. It's because it sucks cox. LOL Hopefully his resetting the DSL modem will clear up the problem.
Wow... I talked to David on the phone! That was so totally the coolest thing ever! I'm still giddy from that. ^_^ And it's like twelve hours later. *giggles* Ok....how weird is this? I'm giggling!
Anyway, come June, it looks like it'll be a full house here. There'll be Alex, David and probably Jon moving in. Though Alex will be here for only a couple months since his mom has told him he needs to find somewhere to live for the summer. Sheesh, can you imagine a mom throwing her kid out for a couple months? That just seems so messed up to me.
Well, we'll give him a place that is safe and a group of folks that will Love him.
*Hugs Everyone*
